Hand
Reamers (with straight flutes). Ranging from 1/8 inch diameter to 2 inch
diameter. Carbon Steel and HSS.
Hand Reamers (with spiral flutes). Ranging from 1/8 inch diameter to
1 1/2 inch diameter. Carbon Steel and HSS.
Expansion Hand Reamers. Particularily designed for work where it is
necessary to enlarge reamed holes by a few thousandths. The recommended limits
of expansion are as follows:
1/4 inch to 15/32 inch inclusive, 0.005 inch
1/2 inch to 31/32 inch inclusive, 0.008 inch
1 inch to 1 11/16 inch inclusive, 0.010 inch
1 3/4 inch to 2 inch inclusive, 0.012 inch
The guides to these Reamers are ground to 0.005 inch undersize. Expansion
Hand Reamers are available from 1/4 inch diameter to 2 inch diameter in both
straight and spiral flute. Carbon Steel.
Taper Shank Jobbers' Reamers. Ranging from 1/4 inch diameter to 1 1/2
inch diameter. Carbon Steel and HSS.
Fluted Chucking Reamers (with straight shanks). Ranging from 1/8 inch
diameter to 1 1/2 inch diameter. Carbon Steel and HSS.
Fluted Chucking Reamers (with taper shanks). Ranging from 1/4 inch diameter
to 1 1/2 inch diameter. Carbon Steel and HSS.
Fluted Shell Reamers. Designed as a sizing or finish reamer and are
held on an arbor provided with driving lugs. Flutes are cleared to edge. The
holes in these reamers are tapered, 1/8 inch per foot. Ranging from 3/4 inch
diameter to 3 inch diameter. Straight and Spiral Flute are both available
in either Carbon Steel or HSS.
Shell Reamer Arbors (with straight shanks). Designed to fit Shell Reamers
and Shell Drills having taper holes 1/8 inch per foot.
Shell Reamer Arbors (with Morse taper shanks). Designed to fit Shell
Reamers and Shell Drills having taper holes 1/8 inch per foot.
Taper Pin Reamers (with helical flutes). Taper 1/4 inch per foot. The
helical construction of these reamers has a tendancy to prevent chips from
clogging in the flutes, reducing breakage to a minimum. Point of each reamer
will enter hole reamed by next smallest size. Carbon Steel and HSS.
Taper Bridge or Boiler Reamers (with straight or spiral flute). Pilot
points on these reamers facilitate their entry into irregular and small holes.
Made with both four and five flutes in sizes 13/32 inch to 1 1/4 inch inclusive.
Reamers with five flutes will be furnished unless otherwise specified. Reamers
1 5/16 inch to 1 1/2 inch inclusive, have six flutes. HSS.
Repairman's Taper Reamers. Used extensively by garages, blacksmiths,
carpenters, machinists, electricians, plumbers, etc., for enlarging holes
in both metal and wood. For use in Bit Brace.
